Nostalgic Opulence

This collection has its roots in time spent exploring the details in grand, ostentatious Elizabethan portraits like those in stately homes and the National Portrait Gallery. Looking at the jewelled detailing and lace on the dresses depicted there inspired the details in these handstitched wire pieces. The finished designs are far more subtle than their inspiration, made in a selection of soft colours that complement a contemporary wardrobe.
