There's a great space here at Spout Brewhouse the building where my lovely studio is housed. You'll find us in Leek, North Staffordshire.

I'm also run workshops at other venues. A full list of dates in various venues in 2024 can be found here.

You can book online, or in person in the studio, get in touch with any further questions. Workshops in other venues are booked via the venue.

Yes, of course, choose the gift option when you book, and you'll be sent a pdf with all the details you need, you can print it out, pop this into a card to give, or send on in an email.

  • Workshops include materials and use of equipment, though you are welcome to bring your own items to personalise what you make. If there is an option to buy extra materials on the day I’ll let you know in advance.
  • On full day workshops a light lunch is included, along with homemade cake. Tea or coffee will be provided to drink, along with water.
  • On half day workshops, homemade cake and tea or coffee is included.
  • Please advise of any dietary requirements on booking. Food is homemade here by the Spout Brew House kitchen.
  • Covid 19 safety measures. Please do not attend if you have tested positive for Covid.
  • Payment will be taken at the time of booking. Payment can be in the form of a gift voucher, payment through the website or an invoice. Bookings are non refundable and non transferable. However if the workshop has to be postponed due to Covid 19 restrictions you will be offered an alternative date, the option of a voucher or a refund.
  • A minimum of 4 people are required for the workshop to go ahead, if fewer than 4 people book onto the workshop it will be cancelled with as much notice as possible and you will be refunded in full.
  • There will be a maximum of 8-10 people taking part depending on the workshop.
  • Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult. Please get in touch to discuss the suitability of a workshop for those under 16 before booking. Workshops are aimed at adults but may be suitable for those 13 and over.
  • Workshops are often held on the first floor and unfortunately there is no lift.
  • Please note that I, Judith Brown, retain the intellectual property to all my ideas. This means that you can’t go into business making copies of my work, run workshops using my ideas or replicate this workshop elsewhere. You can, however, use the ideas to create for your own pleasure or to make gifts for friends and family, and with your own students, if you are a teacher in an educational establishment.

Wire Seed Heads

Inspired by grasses, cow parsley, poppies and much more, on this workshop you can create your own bunch of wire seed heads to display in a vase. All materials are included.

Wire Butterflies & Insects

Inspired by butterflies, moths and dragonflies we'll create decorative wire insects using a variety of coloured wired and beads. All materials are included.

Inspired by real flowers and leaves you'll learn how to handle various guages of wire and interpret nature in wire. Equipment and materials provided.

Wire Jewellery Workshop

Create your own unique piece of handmade jewellery using just wire, beads, pliers, stitching and wrapping techniques. Equipment and materials provided.

Embellished Wire & Paper Hoop Hanging Workshop

Experiment with a variety of techniques to create your own unique hanging framed in an embroidery hoop. I’ll show you how to make various wire flower, leaf and bird forms and finish them with wire embellishments, colourful papers, beads and more.

Embroidered Jewellery Workshop

Using colourful threads and beads I’ll guide you to create your own unique accessory. There are no complicated stitches here, just considered design and use of colour, so whether you are a confident stitcher or not you’ll be able to complete a piece during the workshop. All materials are included.

Create a garland to hang indoors using wire and embossing foil. All materials included.
